We are Selvagem Soul - a hybrid live outfit straddling two continents, deep in the pocket between Brazil and Australia.
Our sound is deeply rooted in Brazil and draws from MPB, Bossa Nova, Samba, Tropicália, 60s Psychedelia, Funk, Soul and Trip-Hop - a flavour palette inspired by Brazil's love of diverse sounds, Latin rhythms, sunshine, the beach and all-round good vibes.
Selvagem Soul brings together four creative forces:
THi, originally from the underground club scene of Augusta Street and Paulista Avenue in São Paulo, now based in Sydney, sets the tone with his inspiring songwriting, smooth Portuguese poetry and Tropicália-infused guitar work.
Maitê Inaê, raised in Sydney on a rich diet of Samba, Tropicália and MPB, is a multi-talented force within the Brazilian community. Her vocals are fiery yet sweet -opening musical spaces that defy categorisation.
Doc Proctor, of cult indie acts Quarteracre and Little Aida, adds Caribbean spice and urban grit shaped by years living in St Lucia, Oakland and London - on bass.
KlevaOne, a producer, veteran turntablist and dedicated vinyl digger from Sydney, brings it all together with his smooth jazzy Fender Rhodes textures, infectious MPC beat-making and tight production.

manifesto
Before there was movement, there was rhythm.
Before there was language, there was song.
Before there was walking, there was dance.
Before there is life, there is a Soul.
An energy moving through space and time,
guided by the Ancients, carried by a frequency older than a memory, answering a call that had no name.
An intergalactic tribe of guardians.
Dancing since the dawn of time,
aboard the vessel we call Human kind.
Not here by accident. By choice. By designation.
Each new journey is a mission.
Each body is a talisman.
Each life is a ceremony.
And every lesson we carry back is another step in the eternal dance.
Conscious and Immortal Souls
Reaching for the Stars
Born to … Dance Before Walking
